Because there were many trees called Bakinder Birchi, this mountain (360m) located in Gwangtan-myeon Paju was called Bakdal Mountain. But, neighboring village people called this mountain 'Suribong' because there were a lot of eagles before.
Bakdal Mountain is very suitable place where people visit the forest bating area and the nature study garden with their children and climb the mountain because it is convenient to use the public transportation in Seoul or near. Bakdal Mountain is the low mountain of 369m, but the main ridges provides the good climbing course to show special views. People also can enjoy a hot spring bathing (Yuil Leisure) staying for 1 night. All parts of the mountain are connected by the wood bridge, and flowers are planted in all areas of the mountain to function as nature study garden.
