IStarted in 2001, Imjingang kite flying festival for the unification is held to renew the mind to greet the new year and to pray for the unification of two Koreans in Imjingak Resort near Imjin river in Paju before or after the 15th day of January of the lunar calendar.
Festival visitors can fly the Gaori kite provided by the host in the sky, and can enjoy the kite fighting, the traditional play. Also, visitors can spend the time to make the firm harmony and love of the family through the traditional folk plays including a game of Yut, Jegi play, seesaw and Pengyi play and Tuho, and experience programs including a taffy-breaking game and a rice-cake mallet. |
